Mom unfortunately was abandoned by her partner to raise 3 kids on her own. He is not very involved. This left mom feeling very alone and scared. Nevertheless, she began renting a place on her own. She suddenly lost her job and could no longer afford rent. She turned to family for support but was only able to stay for so long. She found refuge in shelter, but never found a place to call home. Her 3 kids were beginning to question where was home. She makes it a point to build a close bond with all her children, especially now that they only have her. She heard of Wallis House online and was placed here within weeks. She felt very fortunate as Wallis not only provides shelter, but also meals, classes, and assistance for moms and children. She feels enough support to soon get back on her feet. As Christmas approaches, she knows this year might be very difficult for her to provide but she hops and promises her children other years will be very different. All her children are doing well in school and she is thankful. This is what is keeping her happy and well.
