Brenda has had a turbulent life, having lost her mother to domestic violence. At a very young age she had to be placed with her aunt. Although her aunt did her best to keep her from the dangers of the streets, Brenda felt much depression and loneliness. Brenda fell to drugs at a very early age. She became pregnant at 16 and 19, but unfortunately lost both of her kids due to her addiction. She gave birth to her daughter, Esmeralda in 2022 and has been sober for 2 years. She went through classes to help her with parenting and helping her become herself again after going through domestic violence situations. She loves and cares for her daughter so much and they are grateful to be part of this program while they get back on their feet.
