1. The Padilla family is composed of mother, client: Will (12), younger brother Sonia (9), and younger sister Au (8). The siblings began services with Aviva about a year ago. All the siblings participate in treatment and consistently engage in sessions. Mother is also receiving therapy sessions outside of Aviva to assist her children in meeting treatment goals. The family suffered the tragic sudden loss of their father about one year ago. Father was the main provider of the family and since, mother has taken on the responsibility of raising and providing for her family. This sudden loss increased the sibling’s anxiety and stress. Together the family has made efforts to try and grief together, but it has been difficult. William struggles with anxiety and often isolates, Aubri’s tantrums increased, and Sonnie struggles with expressing his emotions. Despite these hardships, the family is extremely resilient. Mother makes efforts to always reserve weekends to have quality time with her children such as going to community events, eating, or simply going outside.
