The Silva family consists of 5 people: Beatris, brother, older sister, nephew, and Mother. The family resides in a two-bedroom apartment. Client and brother receive services from Aviva to assist with working through the pain of grief. B.S father passed away due to cancer a year ago and this traumatic event took a toll on all family members. B.S and her family have had to cope with the void and this loss has also affected the family financially as Mother provides for the family while dealing with her grief. Mother was diagnosed with diabetes and receives medical attention. Client has had a difficult time dealing with her Father’s death but is making progress towards coping with grief. Client participates in treatment and engages in sessions with the therapist. Client can utilize her coping skills when feeling depressed. The family would benefit greatly from basic home essentials, especially food and clothing, which will help with daily expenses.
