The Turner family is made up of 1 adult and 2 children, Ms. Turner is 52 years old, and she is the grandmother of two children who are 7 years old and 1 year old.
The family was referred to Aviva’s RHAS/RSS program where Grandmother Turner has received Hope In A Suitcase for clothing, diapers, baby wipes, and many other services we have. Ms. Turner calls about two times a month asking for guidance and other assistance needed for the children due to her inability to work due to her illness.
The family is currently experiencing homelessness due to losing their house in a fire back in August. The family has been living at a hotel with the help from the fire department. Before the fire, the family only type of income is from public assistance.
Since starting services at Aviva, the Turner family has demonstrated that even though they lost their home they’re still strong together as a family. The Turner family hobbies are spending quality time as a family, going to church, and going out to eat after Sunday service.
